As my baby became a toddler and I continued nursing, it stopped being an issue because everyone just assumed I had weaned a child that age OF COURSE (ha!). Once my daughter was drinking from a sippy cup and taking solids. I could offer these to her when we were in public or if I didn't want to nurse in front of someone who might pressure me to wean. We kept our nursing private or around those who supported us as she got older and the critics were none the wiser!
