Hey, Steph - AWESOME! Most mom's aren't even willing to try to tandem nurse, let alone sustain it!! I'm not a good one for weaning questions (I've never personally done it) with a 2 1/2 yr old and a 9mo both nursing well. The joke in our family is that the baby will wean before the toddler. It's completely up to you. I've heard that child-led weaning may not occur until 4 or later if left up to the child. As long as the baby is doing well and you're happy, there's no urgency. Even if you're getting a little sick of nursing 2, I've found precious cuddle times happen when I nurse my rowdy 2yr old (neccessary for those hard days). If, however, you're really unhappy, the relationship needs to be one that's good for everyone! LeLeche League has some nice articles on tandem and toddler nursing or search the BF Ring for more info.

Good luck and keep us posted!!! Jenn
