According to Ms. Leider, agents should identify the niche they want to drive traffic to – “DJ insurance” for example. Start with one main page about DJ insurance. Then tell the consumer everything they need to know about insuring a DJ business. Take a look at the top 5 articles in Google and try to add more information than your competitors so you look more relevant than everyone else to Google. Then, write an additional 20-50 articles specifically for DJs. Answer the who, what, where, when, why and how questions about DJ insurance. Everything and more that someone might want to know about the topic. Longer articles generally perform better than shorter ones. Each of these article (child) pages should link back to the main (parent) page to show the search engines which is the most important.
Videos and images like infographics can help with content promotion and drive traffic. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn can also be very helpful for SEO as it shows Google your site has credibility.
If you only mention a topic once, say “car insurance” it will be very difficult to be seen as an authority on that topic. That said, the more obscure the topic, the less articles you’ll need to support your main page to rank it on the first page.
